Summer sizzlers!!

The sun shone rather warmly in the green gardens where our youngest daughter Rebecca and Joram said YES to each other on June 24. Their outdoor wedding was simply fantastic! Our smiles were wide as we watched our grandchildren Manuel and Eloise spread flower pettals before the bridal couple entered.  We were moved to tears hearing their vows. The wedding cake was scrumptious. Parents and various friends shared memorable moments during the BBQ. The day was over way to soon! What a joy it was to experience this precious happening with (new) family and friends.

The sun continues to shine brightly this summer—even at the ETF! Jack’s attic office can be rather warm as he reads papers, grades assignments, wraps up student internships, and tries to stay cool in the process! But vacation is on its way!

We look forward to our annual missions conference the first week of August in southern Germany.  Lord willing we hope to do some hiking in Austria beforehand.

The sun does wonders for our backyard garden! We enjoy watching the vegetables grow! So do our neighbors as they park their cars next to our yard. Radishes were plentiful, strawberries sweet, beans and tomatoes are beginning and the front yard zucchini plants are yielding! Once again we are grateful for this place the Lord has led us to and provided.

What? The second Barentsen update within just a few days? Here’s why. I just found out this week that our regular blog updates have not been sent out by email since December. That means that most readers will have missed the following updates:

The updates were posted on our blog, but not delivered by email. Sorry for the confusion, but I hope this catches you up. Our June update (A fresh glimpse of ETF’s impact) was sent out just this week, almost a month late.

If you have questions, missed our updates and changed your email address, please let us know.

Thank you for praying?
