Praying Together

Psalm 65:5–8 (ESV)
1       I will sing of the steadfast love of the LORD, forever;
with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.
2       For I said, “Steadfast love will be built up forever;
in the heavens you will establish your faithfulness.”
3       You have said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one;
I have sworn to David my servant:
4       ‘I will establish your offspring forever,
and build your throne for all generations.’ ”

Thank you for praying with us. It is only through the Spirit’s work in and through us that disciples will grow and prove faithful..

Praise and prayer:

  • Praise for students who completed their courses and their internship. Many are still studying and writing papers for the re-exams in August.
  • Praise that Jack found more teachers for courses in his department for the next year, enabling him to focus on two new courses that deal with pastoral leadership and pastoral care.
  • Keep praying for the decision making process about renovating the Catholic Church building where our Dutch church meets into a multi-purpose building. Things are moving in the right direction, but a number of hurdles yet remain.
  • Of the two major projects on Christian leadership that were recently submitted, one is still moving forward, the other did not receive funding.
  • Praise for our family and the loving relationships we share. Keep praying for spiritual fruit in the life of Jack’s dad, who is slowly adjusting to life in assisted living. The car is sold. Pray that their apartment will sell soon.
