Time for a break. We’re fixing up: cleaning, scraping, sanding down, painting, wall papering, more painting, more cleaning (hands and arms, this time), putting in a laminate floor, and much more. Of course, with coffee and tea breaks in between. It’s Laura and Adriaan’s new apartment on the 10 th floor – so we look to see the Utrecht skyline, or (in the other direction), the polders, or down to see sea gulls playing chase in the air.
We hope you had a joyous Christmas. Our season was marked by Pat’s beautiful art work with flowers, picturing the names of Christ from Isaiah 9: ‘Wonderful, Counselor, Almighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.’ We had the opportunity to listen to a live performance of Handel’s Messiah in Maastricht, and to watch Pat’s artwork unfold each successive Sunday of Advent.
May the joy of Christmas linger on into the new year and increase daily as we fellowship with Christ and fellow-believers, and as we share this joy with others who do not yet know Jesus Christ personally. May the coming year be one of continuing growth in discipleship!
