The world at our table

We had an interesting weekend. Sunday, a young student from Eastern Europe joined us for lunch. She shared about life as a Christian in her country, and about her dreams for her future. She missed home very much, and we enjoyed singing many hymns and songs that we all know.

Sunday evening, we received an older Polish couple that only stayed overnight. We barely met them, but understand that the Lord has worked an amazing miracle of transformation in their lives only 5 years ago.

Monday night, one of the new believers in our church came for a visit. It was wonderful to hear him share of how the Lord has brought peace to his life, and is beginning to restore some long broken family bonds.

These visits reminds us of God’s amazing grace and transforming power. Sometimes, in the busy-ness of daily life, we loose sight of that. It is a privilege to know Him and to serve Him in this broken world!
