Below you’ll find our ongoing prayer requests for the regular ministries we are involved in. Our other prayer page has dated prayer requests where we can also post some of the ways God has answered them.
PRAISE FOR:
- A sound, Bible-believing seminary that annually teaches dozens of students to serve as pastors, missionaries and teachers.
- For a great family with good opportunities for study and service for our daughters Laura and Rebecca.
- For faithful supporters who have enabled us to serve for over 24 years, and many of whom continue faithfully through the current credit crisis.
PRAY FOR:
- Wisdom and sensitivity for Pat and Jack to help care for aging parents (Pat’s father in Easton, PA; Jack’s parents in Almere, Netherlands) with increasing health issues.
- Jack’s interaction with students in their internships and growth in Christian leadership.
- For Pat’s contacts at work, where she often openly speaks about the gospel.
- Thijs and Saskia, moving on to a new ministry after the summer of 2012.
- For our church that is recovering from tension and divisions over charismatic issues. The new elders (since Oct. 2011) are doing well and need much wisdom.
- Laura and Rebecca in their walk with the Lord; Laura in finding a good job (so far only temporary jobs) and Rebecca in her nursing internship.
- Jack & Pat as couple and as parents, and for diligence in our own spiritual life.
- Jack’s development of research into leadership in today’s churches, writing, presenting and publishing it.
- Increase in support, since at least $500 a month increase is needed to be back at full support. This has been an ongoing need since 2008 – our support has stayed relatively stable, for which we are very grateful, but expenses have increased significantly in these years.
